some new items this week

We’ve got a couple items we’ve never done before on this week’s menu! On Tuesday we have duck confit as the special. Now many people seem to fear duck but duck confit is incredible. We season Heritage Isle duck legs for a couple days then cook them at a low temperature for hours in their own fat. To serve we remove them from the fat and fry the skin until crispy.  The result is tender and flavorful meat that needs nothing but buttery whipped potatoes for sauce! All week long we are offering a new cake – mocha chocolate cake! Espresso in the chocolate cake and the icing and chocolate cookie crumbs on the outside of the cake. Boom! Also look for the return of our sausage calzones. These were a huge hit a month ago when we offered them for the first time.

monday – turkey cacciatore

heritage isle turkey, tomatoes, wine, mushrooms, carrots, and herbs served with creamy polenta and marinated vegetable salad  $16

tuesday – duck confit

tender duck leg cooked for hours in it’s own fat then fried crispy served with whipped new potatoes and green bean grainy mustard salad  $17

wednesday – vegetable pot pie

we’re going to pack all kinds of market vegetables into this pot pie with herb cream sauce and a biscuit top  $10  honey mustard chicken skewer (2 oz.)  $5

thursday – thai chicken salad

we only have 2 more weeks of main course salads left! main course salad with sunworks farm organic chicken, lettuces, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, zucchini, red chili rice noodles, lemongrass coconut dressing  $16

friday – roast organic chicken

sunworks farm organic chicken served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and our famous gravy  $50 whole  $30 half  $16 quarter

herb buttered vegetables add on $15 whole $10 half $6 quarter

saturday – red pepper & chevre quiche

roasted red pepper, dancing goats farm chevre, butter pastry  $10  green salad  $5

warm sticky cinnamon roll  $3.75
