Calgary Food Bank Old School Bake Sale

Forage will be at the Calgary Food Bank’s Old School Bake Sale again this year.  It goes from noon to 1PM on Wednesday at the Suncor Energy Centre lobby (150 6 Avenue SW).  We will have Candy Cane Brownies, Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies, and Cinnamon Rolls for sale with all the proceeds going to the food bank.

Here are the daily specials for the week of December 11^th:

monday – shepherd’s pie

sunworks farm organic beef, carrots, peas, root vegetables, herb gravy, and whipped potato top  $11  add cranberry pumpkin seed slaw  $4

tuesday – mom’s meatloaf

broek pork acres berkshire pork meatloaf with onion soup mix and ketchup glaze served with mashed potatoes, buttered vegetables, and herb gravy  $16

wednesday – roasted squash arancini

roasted winter squash arancini with sage cream sauce and tomato, white bean, and greens ragu  $14  lemon rosemary chicken skewer (2 oz.)  $5

thursday – butter chicken

sunworks farm organic chicken simmered with curry spices, tomatoes, ginger, cream, and butter served over basmati rice  $16  add cucumber raita salad  $5

friday – roast organic chicken

sunworks farm organic chicken served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and our famous gravy  $50 whole  $30 half  $16 quarter

roasted root vegetables add on $15 whole $10 half $6 quarter

saturday – crispy waffles

& tourtiere shepherd’s pie

crispy belgian waffle cooked to order, maple syrup, sylvan star butter  $7

polcan farmer’s sausage $3
