October at Forage

Seems like I just wrote September at Forage but here we are in October! Shorter days, cooler nights, more time spent indoors, and the best holiday of the year – Thanksgiving! Gatherings are going to be once again muted but we have you covered with Thanksgiving meal items for as little as two people and a Jiggs Dinner for Two. Deadline is 7PM today (Monday) to get your orders in for pick up on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

We have one Pop Up and one Cocktail Party Series planned for October. On Thursday, October 21st we will have our Fish & Chips Pop Up featuring that outstanding Fogo Island Cod. Then on Friday, October 29th we will have a self-catering cocktail party package for Halloween! We’ve developed several fun appetizers Halloween over the years like Witch’s Fingers, Cheddar Grape Eyeballs, and Skeleton Tortillas with Graveyard Dip. It’s a fun menu so start planning the guest list – more to come on this.

In the kitchen we’ll continue to evolve the menu towards more autumnal eating. Look for Coq au Vin, Chicken Paprikash, Pot Roast Dinner, and Winter Squash Lasagna. We should be getting our first delivery of Rusted Rooster Orchard apples any day now so you’ll see them on the menu along with our outstanding Alberta root vegetables.
