forage weekly specials – december 17th

Tourtieres Available Tuesday

So I made a mistake in the date that the Forage Tourtieres will be available.  They will be available on Tuesday, December 18th at 2PM.  We are going to need Monday to get them produced after a busy catering week.  My apologies.  We are making a bunch but they are first come, first serve.  They are made with Broek Pork Acres Berkshire pork, Hoven Farms organic beef, Buffalo Horn Ranch Bison, Broxburn onions, Eagle Creek Farm garlic, Lund’s Organic carrots, Highwood Crossing organic flour, and herbs and spices from The Silk Road Spice Merchants.  They are well over 3 pounds and will easily feed 5-6 adults.  They are frozen and require baking and we provide the cooking instructions.  They are $30 each.  Be sure to grab some of our Quebec Red Tomato Ketchup and Cranberry Chutney to complete the experience.

Here’s the menu for the week of December 17th:

Monday – Shepherd’s Pie

Hoven Farms organic beef in a light gravy with peas, carrots, green beans, root vegetables and a whipped potato top  $10

Tuesday – Butter Chicken

Sunworks Farm organic chicken pieces in a curry spice, tomato, and cream sauce served over basmati rice  $16

Wednesday – Macaroni and Cheese

Our take on the comfort food classic.  We pack ours with Sylvan Star gouda and cheddar cheese.  $10  Add a green salad  $4

Thursday – Bison Meatballs

Buffalo Horn Ranch bison meatballs in creamy mushroom and cranberry sauce with green beans served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes  $14

Friday – Roast Chicken

Sunworks Farm roast organic chicken served with mashed potatoes and our famous gravy  $45 whole  $28 half  $16 quarter

This Week’s Salad – Roast Beet and Feta Salad $6

This Week’s Soup – Winter Squash and Sage $6

This Week’s Stew – Brown Ale Beef Stew $8

Something Sweet – Mom’s Chocolate Cake $4

Bread (Available Wednesday Until It’s Gone) – Cinnamon Raisin $5
