Forage is open for one more week before we close for our Christmas Break so we thought we’d let you know about all the great seasonal treats we’ve got to help you celebrate the season. If you want to be sure to get some of these items it is best to give us a call and preorder. Forage (403)269-6551.
Tourtiere (available now)
We start with pastry from Pascal’s Patisserie then add Broek Pork Acres Berkshire pork, Sunworks Farm organic beef, Lund’s Organic carrots, Broxburn onions, celery, and Silk Road Spice Merchants herbs and spices – we use sage, rosemary and thyme. They are frozen (with cooked filling) and need about an hour to bake to a golden crisp. Each tourtiere will generously feed 6 adults and are $32. We’ve got a limited supply left so get yours before they are gone.
We are partnering with the Calgary Jazz Orchestra again this year and every tourtiere purchase will get a code for a discount on tickets to their Perfectly Frank Christmas Show on Sunday, December 20th.They have a 3PM show and a 7PM show and it is a tremendous way to celebrate the holidays!
Quiche and Breakfast Casserole (available for preorder – pick up Monday to Wednesday)
We are making Sylvan Star Gouda and Caramelized Onion Quiche. They are 9 inch, fully cooked and frozen and will feed 6-8 for $40. Please preorder to be sure to get yours.
We’ll also have a Breakfast Casserole of pork breakfast sausage, potatoes, peppers, eggs, and cheese (like our Saturday morning frittatas). It is fully cooked, frozen, and will feed 2 generously for $20.
Snack, Sides, Treats (available starting Thursday)
We have Turkey Stock, Cranberry Chutney, Quebec Red Ketchup, Duck Liver Mousse, Candy Cane Brownies, Pascal’s Frozen French Pastries, and a limited selection of festive finger sweets from our infuse catering side.
Cinnamon Buns (next Wednesday)
We are making a batch for next Wednesday, December 23rd. They will be ready hot at 2PM and are fine for freezing or warming to eat later. We will also have Cinnamon Raisin Bread next Wednesday.
