forage festive menu

It’s time to release our catering menu for the festive season!  These are December only items and are in addition to our Winter 2017 Forage Catering menu.  Our Forage Tourtieres go on sale December 1st while supplies last and we also have a Gingerbread Cake with molasses icing, Pouding Chomeur – traditional Quebec maple syrup pudding cake, and a Festive Finger Sweets plate.

For December 21st to December 23rd pick up we have a Christmas Eve Tourtiere Dinner Package that serves 6-8 people.  The dinner package includes a Forage Tourtiere (9 inch – baked or ready to bake), Buttermilk Smashed Potatoes, Maple Mustard Roasted Root Vegetables, a Roasted Apple Salad with greens, roasted apple, grizzly gouda, candied pecans, red wine thyme vinaigrette, Quebec Tomato Ketchup, and Cranberry Chutney.  I traditionally finish it off the dinner with the Pouding Chomeur.

We are also offering our Christmas Dinner Sides for December 21 to December 23 pick up.  We’ll have Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes, Sage Bread Pudding, Roasted Beets and Chevre, Roasted Apple Salad, Maple Mustard Roasted Root Vegetables.

monday – spaghetti pie

broek pork acres meat sauce, spaghetti, ricotta, herbs, mozzarella  $11  add marinated vegetable salad  $5

tuesday – honey dijon chicken

sunworks farm organic chicken with honey dijon glaze served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and herb buttered carrots  $17  add green salad with walnut vinaigrette  $6

wednesday – macaroni & cheese

classic comfort food – we pack ours with sylvan star gouda and cheddar cheeses  $9  bbq chicken skewer (2 oz.)  $5

thursday – stroganoff meatballs

sunworks farm organic beef and broek pork acres pork meatballs in mushroom sour cream sauce with steamed rice  $15  add roasted beet and dill salad  $6

friday – roast organic chicken

sunworks farm organic chicken served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and our famous gravy  $50 whole  $30 half  $16 quarter

roasted root vegetables add on $15 whole $10 half $6 quarter

saturday – waffles and bacon mac & cheese

crispy belgian waffle cooked to order, maple syrup, sylvan star butter  $7

polcan farmer’s sausage $3
