August at Forage
We have an exciting month of August planned at Forage with some special events and new food items. Wade will be making an appearance at the Farmers and Makers Market at cSpace for their Inspired by Local event on Saturday, August 17th. He will be taking a group shopping through the market and then preparing a dish with the purchases. We will have more details on this event as we get closer. It’s part of Alberta Local Food Week (August 11-18) – which is basically every week of the year here at Forage.
On the new food front, we have a few ideas we will be playing with so keep an eye on Instagram and Twitter for their releases. Look for S’mores Cake, Peach Cobbler, a new frozen pizza, Cheesecake, and maybe fried chicken or tacos in the coming weeks. We will continue to pick fruits and vegetables at their peak for canning, preserving, and a couple ‘reserve’ jams.

Look for new beets and spinach from Lund’s Organic, cauliflower from Broxburn Gardens, and Polcan wieners in our wieners and beans this week.
