Jiggs Dinner Fundraiser
As I’ve been talking to people about our Jiggs Dinner Fundraiser I’ve been having to explain what it is. Some people from the East Coast know it as Boiled Dinner but the concept is the same – salt beef boiled with potatoes, cabbage, root vegetables. Genevieve has insisted on Peas Pudding – a steamed split yellow pea dish – and the requisite roasted meat (in our case chicken) and gravy. It’s a big meal that’s easy to share and almost always comes with laughter and music with friends and family. That’s what we’re going for with our first annual Jiggs Dinner – connecting around food and music while raising some funds to support the Centre for Suicide Prevention. Join us Thursday, October 24th at Banded Peak Brewing for a dose of Newfoundland hospitality! You might even get to try cod tongues! Thanksgiving Sides Orders
Just a reminder that we need all the orders for the Thanksgiving weekend in by end of day Tuesday. Forage will be closed on Thanksgiving Monday.
