August at Forage

August is the best month for eating in Alberta by far! All the farms are at their peak with many field crops being harvested and we have the Okanagan bounty of fruits to enjoy. We’ll be at the Markets every week, finding the best ingredients, and featuring them on our menus.

Forage Pop Ups for August include Fish & Chips on Thursday, August 13th and the Forage Drive In Pop Up on Thursday, August 27th. The Fish & Chips Pop Up will go live at the online store Monday or Tuesday. We offer 30 minute windows for pick up of our Annex Ale Beer Battered Fogo Island Cod with fries and slaw. We’ll have a Summer Berry Short Cake available too. Our first ever Forage Drive In Pop Up will have Sunworks Farm organic beef burgers on Manuel Latruwe sesame bun with lettuce, tomato, and condiments of your choice. You’ll have the choice of Burger, Cheeseburger (Sylvan Star Cheddar), or Bacon Cheeseburger and you can add on a Annex Root Beer and Latruwe Ice Cream Float.

On the menu for August we’ll have some new favorites like our Sesame Chicken Strip Salad, Tacos, and our Wings Night. Look for new items like Vegetable Empanadas, Lamb Burgers, and a Chicken Kebab Dinner. We are developing a Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich for Saturdays and some other more secret things to come…
