October at Forage
First off a huge thank you to everyone for supporting Forage and the farms and producers we use! You have allowed us to keep open during the shut down and kept the team employed and busy. As the weather cools remember that we have our Wednesday Doorstep Drop Offs and we offer curbside delivery.
I don’t think October could start any more spectacularly – no frost yet, leaves aglow, warm days, cool nights, no snow yet… We start October with our Thanksgiving Jiggs Dinner package. You have until end of day tomorrow (Tuesday, October 6th) to get your orders in. The package is a full dinner for two that only requires heating and there are Sugar Pumpkin Pie and Wild Blueberry Cobbler add ons. Order online or give us a call.
This month’s Pop Up will feature our Fogo Island Cod Fish & Chips on Thursday, October 22nd. Look in the weekly emails for when online sales will begin.
The Daily Specials will see the return of Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Paprikash, and the Hazelnut Dukkah Chicken Dinner. The vegetable add on with our Friday Roast Chicken Dinners is changing to Roasted Root Vegetables including Eagle Creek Farm carrots and Lund’s Organic rutabaga and parsnips.
Our next Dine at Home Dinner will be on Friday, October 30th and we’re thinking about doing a Fogo Island Bouillabaisse featuring cod, calamari, and the unbelievably sweet crab from the small island on the north side of Newfoundland.
