Buttermilk Biscuit Class

We’ve been getting a lot of requests for another Buttermilk Biscuit Class so we’ve put one together for Saturday, October 1st at 10:00AM.  This is the weekend before Thanksgiving so you’ll be able to impress your guests with fresh biscuits at your Thanksgiving feasts. In this class Wade will give away all the secrets of how we make our biscuits and then you’ll get a chance to make your own.  The class runs about 90 minutes and is $40 plus GST.  Space is limited so please call Forage to book your spot (403)269-6551.

Winter’s Turkeys for Thanksgiving

Speaking of Thanksgiving… it’s only 3 weeks away!  Once again we are offering fresh free range turkeys from Winter’s Turkeys.  The free range birds are $3.85 per pound and will roughly be in the 15 to 17 lb. range.  For something even more special we are offering their Orlopp Bronze Heirloom turkey too.  They are $6.10 per pound and will roughly be in the 14 to 16 pound range.  I had a Bronze last year and the flavour was amazing!  All turkey must be pre-ordered and a $20 deposit is required to confirm the order.  Turkeys will be available for pick up on Thursday, October 6th and Friday, October 7th during Forage business hours.  Please call Forage to get your bird.

Monday – Chicken Rigatoni

Sunworks Farm organic chicken, tomato sauce, penne, spinach, bechamel, and mozzarella  $10

Tuesday – Mexican Pot Roast

Hoven Farms organic chuck roast braised with tomatoes and herbs served with rice and beans and chili lime buttered Kohut Farm corn  $14

Wednesday – Eggplant Parmigiana

Broxburn Garden eggplant breaded and fried and layered with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese and parmegiano-reggiano.  Served with an Italian salad  $13

Thursday – Vietnamese Chicken Salad

Sunworks Farm organic chicken, carrots, peas, peppers, cilantro, and rice noodles on greens with ginger lime vinaigrette  $13

Friday – Roast Organic Chicken

Sunworks Farm roast organic chicken served with mashed potatoes and our famous gravy  $40 whole  $26 half  $15 quarter
