Sunworks Farm Market Days Done at Forage

It’s been great having Sunworks Farm Market Days here at Forage but it was a temporary engagement.   Casel Marche is opening this weekend (June 4 at the time of writing) and it means that there are no more Sunworks Farm Market Days in Forage.  Casel Marche is located on the corner of 17^th Avenue and 24^th Street SW.  For updates on where to buy Sunworks products, check out the Sunworks website.

Thursday is Main Course Salad Day

We put off starting our Main Course Salad Day because all the rain we had last week but we’re ready to go now!  Through the summer months we will offer a main course salad on Thursdays.  These salads will feature things like chicken and beef and be loaded with seasonal vegetables.  It is a good way to enjoy all that our short warm months have to offer without all the prep.  We kick things off this Thursday with a favourite from last year – Vietnamese Beef Salad.  Butterleaf, spinach, and heritage greens will be topped with Broxburn peppers, Lund’s carrots, rice noodles, chilled satay beef, and ginger lime vinaigrette.

Here’s the menu for the week of May 30^th:

Monday – Bison Macaroni Casserole

Buffalo Horn ranch bison, macaroni, tomatoes, green peppers, and cheddar  $10

Tuesday – Mead Braised Chicken

Sunworks Farm organic chicken braised with herbs and Chinook Arch Mead served with mashed potatoes and root vegetables  $14

Wednesday – Vegetable Burrito

Broxburn peppers and zucchini, heritage greens, spinach, black beans, tomato rice, and cheddar in a Tres marias flour tortilla served with salsa salad  $13

Thursday – Vietnamese Beef Salad

Satay Hoven Farms organic beef, bell peppers, carrots, rice noodles, cilantro and greens with a ginger lime vinaigrette  $13

Friday – Roast Organic Chicken

Sunworks Farm roast organic chicken served with picnic potato salad and our famous gravy  $40 whole  $26 half  $15 quarter
