Green Houses in Full Production!
The snow and lack of sunlight we’ve been experiencing may not indicate spring is coming any time soon! Our green houses coming into full production are a good sign though. Over the next couple weeks we’ll start featuring more of the products we get from them. We’ve had heritage greens and baby cucumbers for a while and now we can get tomatoes, peppers, butterleaf lettuce, and eggplant. I just tried Broxburn Vegetables new heirloom tomato and they are unbelievable! I hope to have them available in Forage soon.
Here are the specials for the week of April 11th:
Monday – Bison Shepherd’s Pie
Buffalo Horn Ranch bison, peas, carrots, parsnips in gravy topped with whipped potatoes $10
Tuesday – Chicken Paella
Sunworks Farm organic chicken, tomatoes, peppers, chicken chorizo, peas, served over saffron rice $14
Wednesday – Ratatouille
We couldn’t wait any longer! There are first of the season peppers, eggplant, and tomatoes coming in from our green houses so we are making Ratatouille! Served with cous cous $11
Thursday – Lasagna
Layers of house made pasta, ricotta, and our meat sauce made with Vital Green veal served with a green salad $14
Friday – Roast Organic Chicken
Sunworks Farm roast organic chicken served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and our famous gravy $40 whole $26 half $15 quarter
