On the Menu
Well as we are looking for things to celebrate to help us get through this winter slump March comes along! No long weekends this month but on Tuesday it’s Mardi Gras and next week it’s the Day of Green (St. Patrick’s Day). For Mardi Gras we are cooking up our annual batch of Chicken Gumbo with Dirty Rice and next week we’ll have Chocolate Stout Cake and Irish Shepherd’s Pie. We are also taking our Peanut Butter Brownies up a notch this week by adding caramel cups! I know, they were pretty insane before but we couldn’t help ourselves!
Here’s the menu for the week of March 7th:
Monday – Beef Stroganoff
Hoven Farms organic beef in a sour cream mushroom sauce served with rice $13
Tuesday – Chicken Gumbo
It’s Mardi Gras so we’re cooking up a whole mess of gumbo and dirty rice. We start by cooking a dark roux, adding the trinity of vegetables, spices (including filé), and Sunworks Farm chicken $14
Wednesday – Macaroni and Cheese
The traditional comfort food with Sylvan Star gouda and cheddar $9
Thursday – Lasagna
It’s all from scratch! Fresh pasta, our meat sauce made with Vital Green organic veal, mozzarella, ricotta and spinach salad $14
Friday – Roast Organic Chicken
Sunworks Farm roast organic chicken served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and our famous gravy $40 whole $26 half $15 quarter
