Forage Farm Tour
Just a reminder that this Saturday is the first Forage Farm Tour. Cut off day to purchase your spot is Thursday, July 7th. Here are the details again:
Saturday, July 9th 9:00AM to 4:30PM Back into the city by 5:30PM
Tour Buffalo Horn Ranch with Peter Haase, Eagle Creek Farm with John Mills, and Lund’s Organic Farm with Gert Lund all hosted by Forage owner Wade Sirois.
Tour includes snacks for the road and lunch at Buffalo Horn Ranch (bison, salads, biscuits, cookies, etc.) You MUST provide your own transportation. Maps and directions provided. Tickets
are $70 plus GST – Please call Forage to book your spot (403)269-6551 and go to the Forage website for more details.
Here’s the menu for the week of July 4th:
Monday – Moorish Chicken
Sunworks Farm organic chicken marinated with lemon, curry spices, and saffron and grilled served with roasted potatoes with black olives $14
Tuesday – Ginger Soy Short Ribs
Thin cut Hoven Farms organic beef short ribs grilled with ginger soy glaze served with steamed rice and stir fry salad $13
Wednesday – Eggplant Parmigiana
Breaded and fried Broxburn eggplant with Forage tomato sauce, Parmesan and mozzarella served with an Italian side salad $13
Thursday – Prairie Chicken Salad
Sunworks Farm organic chicken, Canada Goose Wild Rice, green beans, toasted pecans, greens, and saskatoon berry vinaigrette $13
Friday – Roast Organic Chicken
Sunworks Farm roast organic chicken served with picnic potato salad and our famous gravy $40 whole $26 half $15 quarter
