Forage Farms

We draw ingredients from our network of over 40 farms and we have them listed them on our website.  When we first opened over 3 years ago we told the story of many of these farms and farmers and now we think it’s time to do it again.  In the new year I’m going to work on introducing you to our many farmers and their products and continue to help build a connection between the food you eat and where it comes from.  

Turkeys and Tourtieres

A reminder that pre-orders for fresh Winter’s Turkeys must be in by the end of the day Friday, December 17th.  Also, out Tourtieres are available as of Tuesday, December 14th.  They are 9 inches, frozen uncooked, and feed 4-6 people for $28.  There is more information on the Forage website.  Forage will be closed Christmas Eve through January 2nd, 2011.

Monday – Beef Macaroni Casserole

Hoven Farms organic beef, tomatoes, peppers, macaroni, and cheddar cheese  $10

Tuesday – Chicken Burrito

Sunworks Farm organic chicken, tomato rice, peppers, beans, and cheddar in a Tres Marias flour tortilla served with chipotle slaw  $13

Wednesday – Roast Squash Risotto Cake

Roasted Innisfail Growers squash risotto cake served with braised winter greens  $12

Thursday – Bison Rigatoni

Buffalo Horn Ranch bison, penne pasta, mushrooms, spinach, béchamel, mozzarella $13

Friday – Roast Organic Chicken

Sunworks Farm roast organic chicken served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and our famous gravy  $40 whole  $26 half  $15 quarter
